“Reduction Roadmap has united the construction industry around shared transition goals and demonstrated that the industry is ready to take responsibility and leadership. We want to anchor this movement in an association that provides much greater opportunities for action. It requires more knowledge, broader partnerships, and collective action if we are to address the challenges facing construction,” says Sinus Lynge, founding partner at EFFEKT, who has been elected as the association's chairman.
The association’s secretariat will be housed at Dansk Erhverv, which already supports the Reduction Roadmap. The board will initially consist of Sinus Lynge, Mikkel Schlesinger, and Steffen Maagaard, representing the founding parties EFFEKT, CEBRA and Artelia respectively.
The new association was announced at Building Green DK yesterday and it is already possible to become a supporting member of the new association, which will operate as a non-profit NGO and aims to be funded through a combination of membership contributions and grant applications.
Both individuals and companies can register as supporting members, helping to give the association a mandate in the transition to a society that operates within planetary boundaries.
