VELUX honored with EY's Innovation Award for Living Places Copenhagen
VELUX has won the prestigious EY Innovation Award for Living Places Copenhagen – the result of a three-year-long collaboration between VELUX, EFFEKT, Artelia, and Enemærke & Petersen to re-think how we build, operate and develop the living places of the future.
We are very proud to receive this award and the recognition from EY, Dansk Erhverv and the Jury that said:
"This year's winner is a company with courage. They dare to push an agenda and our collective perception of how to do things in an area where we all find ourselves every single day. Literally. We are dealing with a company that has asked: how can we use existing methods in a new way and thereby contribute to the green transition? In an area that potentially benefits all people. The jury sees huge potential in the collaboration that has led to the innovative solutions presented by the company. They have proven how to build new homes and reduce the carbon footprint by two thirds. That is impressive. All technology and solutions are open source and freely available to everyone. It pushes the enormous scaling possibilities. Ambitions like these oblige, and we are excited to follow developments."
It’s our great hope that the project can help drive and accelerate the green transition of the construction industry and we look forward to the continued collaboration.
